Taipei Airfreight Forwarders & Logistics Association of Taiwan (TAFLA) Established in 1976, Taipei Airfreight Forwarders & Logistics Association of Taiwan (TAFLA) , is ever prosperous on daily basis, thanks to the full-scale planning and painstaking efforts of our successive Chairmen. Currently TAFLA is the IATA Accredited Training School for Dangerous Goods (ATS) and Accredited Training Center (ATC ); meanwhile, TAFLA is also one of the key members of FAPAA.

The incumbent 13th Chairman is Mr. Peter Yang Shu-Ping, elected by our fellow members with great supports.

There are about 1100 members in our Association now, and in 2013 alone, the cargo tonnage handled by our members takes about 90 % of Taiwan area, quite a remarkable figure. Our fellow members mainly focus on Taiwan, China and the cargo business all over the world. Consisting members are global integrators; Taiwan- based cargo agents of all scales; and the branch offices of well-known international cargo agents. To sum up, a great number of our members are multimodal functional.

In order to nourish and reserve for cargo professional personnel, TAFLA is also functioning as educational organization, covering below courses : , IATA Air Cargo Basics, Cargo English, Air Cargo Forwarding In Practice, Customs Clearance basics, Dangerous Goods Regulation Courses, Security Control Courses, AEO Training and Certification, and etc.

In view of the shortage of Air cargo professional personnel, TAFLA thus started some 10 years ago to promote the cooperation between our fellow members and schools/universities, combining the practical experience of our fellow members in Customs, cargo and logistics handling, and set up the teaching platform to teach the students for familiarizing with the ever-changing market, while also promoting our fellow members for more international exposure and competitiveness in the trade.

In the meantime, owing to the interflow of both enterprise and academic, with professional teaching on cargo knowledge, a ready market was created and therefore more professional personnel are generated. What’s more important is that TAFLA plays a very important role by providing to students for internship and later on, the potential employment opportunities. This is very helpful for those students who wish to enter the cargo field after graduation and also it helped lower the learning cost as well as shorten the adaptive period while serving in the companies. In short, we had built up the win-win platform for our fellow members and the new blood for cargo field, and achieved remarkable performance.
